Mr. James Vinson

Mr. James William Vinson was born August 10, 1936 in Lancaster, SC to the late Mr. William and Daisy Vinson.  He later relocated to Fort Mill, SC. Mr. Vinson departed this life on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his wife Marcella Vinson and sister Myrtle Lee Vinson. Mr. Vinson spent most of his life as a construction worker.  He leaves to cherish his memories: four daughters; Patricia Ellis, Annie Vinson, Cora Vinson and Hattie Vinson, all of Rock Hill, SC. One son; Willie James Vinson of Rock Hill, SC.  His twelve grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and seventeen great great-grandchildren. His nephew James A. Vinson (Katherine) of Monroe NC.   Also, numerous other family members and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Vinson will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 12:00pm at Union Funeral & Cremation Chapel.  The family will greet family and friends at 11:30am prior to the service.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive visitors at 905 Lane St, Monroe NC 28112
