Mr. James Alexander Bennett

Mr. James A. Bennett,aka, "D.D.", son of the late James Bennett and Gwendolyn Perry Bennett was born on April 11, 1964.  He departed this life on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Accordius Health, 515 Lake Concord Rd., Concord NC. James attended Monroe High School. He loved gospel music and was a very amazing person.  He loved to work on cars and loved to go fishing. He really thought he was a mechanic, for real. His favorite word to say to anyone was, "Bolt, what's going on."

He was preceded in passing by his parents, James and Gwendolyn Bennett; brother, Slyvester Bennett.  He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his three sons, Jermane McCaskitt of Polkton, NC, Ja'Darrius Williams and Cordarrius Williams of Indian Trail, NC; sister, Victoria B. Mackey (James) of Monroe, NC; brothers, John F. Bennett of Salisbury, NC, and Joseph Bennett of Monroe, NC; and one grandson, Jeremiah Harris of Indian Trail; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly. Two special nieces Undrea Bennett and Dee McKay. One special nephew, Roger Bennett. 

Funeral Services will be held at Union Funeral & Cremation in Monroe, NC. Public viewing will be held on Friday, November 18th from 1:00PM to 6:00PM. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 12PM. 

Interment will follow at Suncrest Cemetery, 891 Bickett St, Monroe NC 28112.
