Ms. Ida Corita Jordan entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at her residence.
Ida was born in Fairfield County on December 16, 1969. She was the daughter of Mrs. Ida Mae Jordan and the late Mr. Floyd Jordan. Confessing Christ at an early age, Ida later became a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Badin NC. She was educated in the elementary public schools of Fairfield County shortly before moving to North Carolina and finishing elementary and high school. Formally employed at Bojangles before her illness.
Ida was a very loving, humble and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She had a very quiet and sweet spirit. She was an awesome supporter of her family and friends. She loved to do crossword puzzles, watch the news and Family Feud, listening to music, play games on her phone, dancing and being with her family. She will be missed tremendously by her family and friends. She was a fan of the Carolina Panthers football team.
Ida leaves to cherish her joyful and loving memories to her three daughters, Shunquetta, Crystal and Shyesia Jordan, all of Albemarle NC. Special Son/nephew Deldric Jordan of Jacksonville, NC. Her mother; Ida M. Jordan of Albemarle NC: one sister, Alfreda Jordan of Wake Forest, NC; One brother, Corey (Freida) Jordan of Chester, SC; Three God Sisters, Sheila Gaddy, Regina Meaders and Biyonka (Walter) Morrison; Two Granddaughters, Kianna Simpson and Mariah Wynn and three Grandsons, Keonte’ Jordan, Kimani Jordan and Xavier Wynn Jr. Three Nephews and two nieces. Five uncles, three Aunts and a host of other relatives and friends. Devoted friends, Lisa Bennett, Johnny Rushing, Devonna L. Craig, Marie Brooks, Tracy White and James Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 1:00pm, located at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 401 Wall St. Albermarle, NC 28001. Ms. Jordan will lie in state from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Interment will follow at Oakview Cemetery in Badin NC.
