Sharon Denise Tyson Hinson departed this life on May 14, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 9,1959 to Clarence Tilroe Smith and Phyllis Tyson-Smith, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister Shelby Tyson Gaddy and brothers Victor Smith and David Smith.
Sharon became employed in the nursing field in 1990 and remained working until the time of her illness. She loved traveling during her off time with her husband and family. She was devoted to her family without a doubt. Sharon had a great sense of humor and loved to dance.
Sharon was a gentle soul who met no stranger and made sure everybody ate. Her co-workers, residents and clients adored her. Her smile, loving ways, compassion and empathy will be missed by many as well as her family.
Sharon was fighter of an unparalleled level. She was a true soldier of God. Gone on Mother's Day, at home with her family as she wished. Transitioning peacefully, Sharon will be missed by many, she was adored by her husband Michael who now has a void only God can fill.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memories her husband Michael Hinson of 38 years; two daughters Leshonda Sheree Lilly (Shawn) and Simone Mack; four sisters, Sandra Smith Brown (Harold) of South Carolina, Patricia Smith Grant (Terry) of South Carolina, Theresa Smith Lindsey (Tony) of New London, NC, Vanessa Smith Adams (Larry) of Lexington NC; four brothers Terence Smith (Jill) of Huntersville NC, Darryl Smith of New London NC, Adrian Smith of Salisbury NC, Mark Smith McLendon of Winston Salem NC. Three grandchildren: Marquese Graham, Eli Graham and Pledge Mack. Nine great grandkids.
The Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 12:00pm at Spirit and Truth United Church of Worship, 100 Moss Springs Rd, Albemarle NC 28001. The Hinson family will receive family and friends from 11:30pm to 12:00pm prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 1920 Woodhurst Lane, Albemarle, NC 28001
